Tim Pawlenty served as governor of
Minnesota for two terms (2003 - 2011), and was a Republican candidate for
President in the 2012 election. He currently serves as co-chairman of
Governor Romney’s presidential campaign. Over the last 10 years, Governor
Pawlenty has played an active role in international affairs and foreign
policy. As governor, he made five trips to Iraq, three trips to
Afghanistan, two trips to Kosovo, and one visit to Bosnia all in support of
American troops. He led trade missions around the world, including three
missions to China and missions to India, Israel, Chile, Brazil, Poland and the
Czech Republic. He traveled with Senator McCain as a member of the
American delegation to the Munich Security Conference. During his
presidential campaign, he made foreign policy a priority, delivering the first
major foreign policy address of any candidate at the Council on Foreign
Relations on June 28, 2011. In October 2011, he led an IRI election
monitoring team to observe Tunisia’s first elections since the Arab
Spring. In December 2011, he attended the EPP Congress in Marseilles and
delivered remarks on the Arab Spring. He spoke on two panels at the 2012
Brussels Forum, and he delivered remarks on American foreign policy in March at
the Legatum Institute in London. Governor Pawlenty currently serves as an
adviser to Vector Capital and serves as a member of the board of directors of
Digital River, Miromatrix Medical, Ionix Medical, Tiburon, Inmar, and Red
Prairie. He received a B.A. from the University of Minnesota (Phi Beta
Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi honors), and a J.D. from the University of Minnesota
Law School.
William Kristol

of the nation's leading political analysts and commentators, Dr. Kristol
regularly appears on Fox News Sunday and on the Fox News Channel. Before
starting The Weekly Standard,
Dr. Kristol led the Project for the Republican Future. Prior to that, he served
as chief of staff to Vice President Dan Quayle during the Bush administration
and to Secretary of Education William Bennett under President Reagan. Before
coming to Washington in 1985, Dr. Kristol taught politics at the University of
Pennsylvania and Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. He received his B.A.
and Ph.D. from Harvard University.
